Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) is holding a main exam for 412 posts in the Directorate General of Youth Welfare and Provincial Rakshak Dal (PRD), Uttar Pradesh. Posts (412) • Regional Youth Welfare and PRD Officer: 368 posts (142 special selection + 226 general selection). Level 5, Rs 29,200 - 92,300. • Physical Training Instructor (Vyayam Prashikshak): 44 posts (22 special selection + 22 general selection). Level 6, Rs 35,400 - 1,12,400. Who can apply • Only candidates who appeared in the UPSSSC Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2025 and got a score card. Candidates with a zero or negative score are not shortlisted. • Graduate degree. Physical Training Instructor also needs D.P.Ed, B.P.Ed or B.P.E. • Age 21 to 40 years on 1 July 2026. SC, ST and other notified categories get relaxation as per government rules; state government employees get up to 5 years. • Candidates who are not natives of Uttar Pradesh do not get reservation and are treated as unreserved. Height and chest (not used by the eligibility checker because they differ by category) • Men: height 167.7 cm (160 cm for ST); chest 78.8 cm, 83.8 cm expanded (76.5 / 81.3 cm for ST). • Women: height 152 cm (147 cm for ST).

Selection Process
Shortlisting from PET-2025 score
About 15 times the number of posts in each category are shortlisted for the main exam, based on the normalised PET-2025 score.
Main written exam
One paper of 100 objective questions, 100 marks, 2 hours, in three parts: general topics (history, geography, economy, sports, road safety and others), computers and information technology, and general knowledge of Uttar Pradesh. One quarter of a mark is taken off for each wrong answer.
Physical measurement and physical eligibility test
Qualifying only. Officer post: four events (men: 200 m run, long jump, high jump, shot put; women: 200 m run, long jump, cricket ball throw, skipping) - at least 45 marks needed. Instructor post: Indian exercise or gymnastics tests. Final merit is made from the written exam marks.
