Eligibility Requirements
| Education Standard | 12TH Pass from recognized institution / University. |
| Qualification Details | Class XII (or equivalent) passed in 2025 or 2026, or appearing in 2027, makes a candidate eligible for JEE (Main) 2027. Candidates who passed Class XII or equivalent in 2024 or before are not eligible. The passing year is the year in which the result was first declared as pass in that examination; an improvement attempt does not change it. There is no age limit for appearing in JEE (Main) 2027, but candidates may need to meet the age criteria of the institute they want admission to. Candidates appearing in Class XII in 2027 can mention their roll or registration number in the application form. Qualifying examinations include the final examination of the 10+2 system of any recognised Central or State Board, Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination, Senior Secondary examination of NIOS with at least five subjects, AIU-recognised equivalents, a three-year AICTE or State board diploma, GCE Advanced level, and International Baccalaureate. No minimum Class XII percentage or subject combination is set in the eligibility chapter; NTA states that candidates must satisfy the eligibility criteria of each NIT, IIIT or other institute for admission. State code of eligibility is the State from where the candidate passed Class XII (or equivalent), not the native place or place of residence. |
| Age Limit | At least 0 years as on 01 Jan 2026, no upper age limit |
| Age Relaxations | Not summarised for this notice. See the official document in the Documents tab for your category. |
